The Land of Black and White is a science fiction story that follows a young woman named Dosadia. She is a poor mechanic and apothecar living underneath an elevated platform city called Golden Valley. Her world centers around the effects of a rogue starship named the Benevolent Darkness, which 67 years ago launched a devastating surprise attack against the empire of the time and caused its downfall. Her post-reconstruction world, ruled over by an interstellar cooperative known as the Galactic Combine, is barely held together at the seams. Dosaida desperately wishes to find a better place in life than her sorry circumstances. A chance encounter with a rich off-worlder gives her more opportunities, and trouble, than she could have ever dreamed of, and each step brings her closer to understanding the truth of the Benevolent Darkness.
The story is broken up in to three novels. The first novel is entirely completed, the second is a half completed, and the third has partial chapters completed.
