HERE LIE THE STORY OF A CRIMSON MAGIC CRYSTAL

Mysterium is a mineral found among the stars. It forms very rarely, and only grows in a crystalline form. It is the only source of magic that is known to naturally occur.

The Tale of the Red Mysterium follows a cast of characters who live across the collection of planets known as Tytanis, a loose collection of kingdoms spread across multiple planets. These planets have been connected by Leylines, magic pathways that, when using the proper magical machinery, allow instantaneous travel between two points in space. These leylines, and magic in general, were dependent on Red Mysterium for many centuries, and its proliferation created an ever-present chaos. This chaos was ended voluntarily as the mineral was entirely banned and all known locations of it obliterated.

Red Mysterium has been replaced with a weaker, easier to cultivate synthetic mineral called Arkanite. Magic infuses the world more than ever before, but its powerful possibilities have been mitigated by Arkanite.
